Re: Adding Credit Card pictures and Scores

I am sorry if the following question makes me lazy, but I really don't have time to read through the 1500 replies, dating back to 2013, to the thread for "this is how you post credit card picture" to try and locate the most recent instructions on how this is done. I am wondering if there is an updated (2021) way to do this along with the posting credit scores?

Don't feel bad about that. Besides the first post being somewhat out-of-date, it doesn't ELI5 (Explain it Like I'm 5) how to do it. Even if you took the time to read through the hundreds of posts, you might have to kind of piecemeal the info together to make them helpful.

@Anonymous ,

I just spent a while adding my cards to my signature.  The instructions in this thread got me part way there but here is the template code I used:

<img src="Put the link to the card image here" height="51" width="90" title="Put the text here that you want to show when someone hovers their cursor here"><img src="Put the link to the card image here" height="51" width="90" title="Put the text here that you want to show when someone hovers their cursor here">

If you are listing multiple cards, make sure to list them in line (without spaces between the ><) as I show above.  The height and width statements force the images into that size when displayed.  You can adjust those as you wish but if you mess that up the images will be displayed at whatever size they are at the source url.

I opened a thread with one of my posts in one tab and the Personal - My Settings area in another.  That way I could make changes to the signature, save them, refresh the tab with the post and check the results.  I used a text editor to compose the signature and then copied it into the signature block and saved it.  That is easier than trying to do it in the small signature box.

I sourced the card images by doing a Google Image search on other peoples card images as well as straight up searches.  If I found the image on a hosting site (Imgur or PostImage) I just grabbed the url and used it.  I put a couple I found up on a hosting site as well.  Two, I am linking from the company's web page.  We'll see if they decide they don't like that.

Having shown you the template above, seeing how the final code looks may help it all make more sense.

My code as used is:

<img src="https://www.myecp.com/Images/4MilitaryStarCard_Navy.jpg" height="51" width="90" title="Military Star Card"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/5VipVRE.png" height="51" width="90" title="Capital One Quick Silver Master Card"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/PwUWuVz.jpg" height="51" width="90" title="Home Depot Credit Card"><img src="https://www.kwikfill.com/files/SubnavigationDropdowns/kf-charge-card.jpg" height="51" width="90" title="Kwik Fill / Red Apple Charge Card"><img src="https://i.postimg.cc/tT8LVJq9/WF-Cash-Wise-Visa1.png" height="51" width="90" title="Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa"><img src="https://i.postimg.cc/tTQDHx2Q/Amazon-Prime-Visa.png" height="51" width="90" title="Amazon Prime Visa">

I hope this helps.

Now this is an excellent ELI5 post! Good job!

Hello,

It's been so long that I don't even see the link

to how to add credit cards to one's profile. Can you do this on a smart phone or does it requires computer access? Thanks

You can try it on a smartphone device, if you already have the entire HTML code for the items you want to add to your signature. Some folks prefer using a tablet or PC for ease of updating links or text details (depending on the complexity of the signature) vs a smartphone device as some compatibility issues can occur.

Add image to post button not appearing.

Hello all,

I tried to add a screenshot of my tradelines to one of my posts but did not see a way to do so. I added it as a link but would rather have it embed so people didnt have to click a link to see it. I performed a search and only found this thread on the subject:

https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/SmorgasBoard/Add-a-picture-into-a-post/m-p/4924586

In the thread there is a missing image button on the ribbon that the user did not have and was fixed by a mod. I also do not have this button. How do I fix this issue?

(btw holy moly theres a lot of threads asking about credit card images in signatures! lol)

@rosco75

Your issue is simply that you are too new to the forum to be able to post pictures. It will solve itself by continuing to be active (I believe as soon as the "new" icon next to your name goes away)

@rosco75

I have read about adding cards to my signature and I simply CANNOT understand what I'm reading🤣.  Blame age/cotton brain.  I couldn't even figure getting the pics for what I needed.  I passed "new" already.  Looks like today I have no "kudos" tabs.

Re: THIS IS HOW YOU ADD CREDIT CARD PICS TO YOUR PROFILE

Well!! You really don't have to do all these, if you have basic HTML knowledge you can directly find readily available FICO existing signature image source or we can google and find source of any image we want, then you just use respective image source path in img tag, below is sample, you can simplay copy paste below to your signature, you need to repeatedly add <img src="" alt="" height="50" width="70" /> and keep adding this line next to next so all images will be displayed in horizontal else they display vertical, it's as simple as that, good Luck, below is sample 3 cards html code from my signature!!
