I recently saw a post on here about Wallets, of all things... and after shaking my head as I looked at pricing, I came across one that I ordered. It goet me thinking; as a frugal guy there are still certain things I consider worth spending real money on.
The first few things that come to mind are quality booze, shoes, and good underwear. And the list is growing.
Now that we're all credit rich, what else do you consider worth the money?
Shoes. I'm getting to the point where I'll buy the few nice things I really want (clothes) rather than the lot of crappy things I settle for cause they're cheap.
For me, it's things that are beautiful and that last. I'm a pretty small spender in general and tend to go for garage sale and thrift store items. I don't spend big money on my clothes, entertainment, travel, or stuff for the sake of stuff. Art objects are about the only thing that can really tempt me out of my thrifty comfort zone.
One other thing, I guess, is food. Really good quality groceries are also worth paying extra for.
A dog. Someone broke into our house around 3 a.m. one morning and she chased him right back out. Worth her weight in gold.

Oh rub it in! At least you have hair. lol... mine didn't go grey, it just went!
Oh,, I want my own airplane. Maybe a Cessna 210 or a Cherokee....
Wife says no...
I saw that wallet posted and considered spending like 200 dollars on one to keep my new credit cards in. Then i decided that was a waste of money. I then find a really neat hemp one at a store for 6 dollars. My wife, who grew up in poverty, saved up and bought me a gold chain which I cherish. I was never a gold chain sort of guy but I wear it for her and I have considered getting some sort of diamond cross for it. I think quality anything is worth it if you can afford it.
Money wasted is not wasted if you waste it on something you enjoy!!
In my view, the following:
1. Nice shoes (not expensive, but well crafted, e.g., Edward Green).
2. Quality leather band watch (not expensive, but leather band with mechanical Swiss ETA movement).
3. XO cognac (or, any brandy, e.g., Germain Robin XO) approx $100 usd.
Everything else is overpriced, in my estimation!
