You should hear my wife, who comes from Appalachia, on the subject of Northern stereotypes about the South in general and her part of it in particular!

well some day we will wake up and all the street signs will be in another language because no one cared about their country.   I notice all our military (the one's keeping us safe)  all put their hand over their hearts.  But they don't play tennis for millions of dollars.

Though he is not from MS, Matthew McConaughey speaks with a pronounced Southern drawl, wouldn't you agree?

my whole family is from texas and you can tell a texas accent a mile away! (especially a southeast texas accent) i was born outside of texas, but every now and then i speak with a southern accent. i guess my family passed it one.
