My wife and I went on app sprees around February (Wells Fargo Propel, AmEx Magnet, REDcard, BB&T, Citi Double Cash- split between us, so not quite as crazy as it sounds). Ok, I went overboard, but that's not what this is about.
The Wells Fargo Propel AmEx had all of the writing on both sides in dark grey thin letters, it was almost impossible for me to read. I had to order a new card that arrived today and all of the writing is now in bold white print that's easy to read. If anyone else has this issue, you can request replacement cards on their website (select damaged as the reason). If you want to destroy the old cards, you can message customer service to ask for a return envelope (despite being metal, they don't sent this automatically).
I hope this helps someone.
Good to know, thanks for sharing.
I wish BofA would do the same...I find it difficult to see my Cash Rewards information.
The last time I talked to them, as a side note I did mention how difficult it was to read the numbers on the card. They said they were in the process of changing the text color.
I'm glad they followed through with it.
I have the same problem with my Dad's BoA card. He can't read it, so he has me put in orders for him. Lately, he just let me put it on my card and he reimburses me... much easier than try to read that
I mentioned it to them once too, but it was March and they hadn't told me about it yet. I guess the squeeky cardholders get the bright, bold font.

Had to replace mine last month due to fraud. When I got the replacement, it did look different. I noticed how white the font was. I just thought the original card was getting worn down wherein the white turned gray due to use/age.....
Now I know. Thanks
