- Uber Visa: 4% in restaurants, just in case they don't take AmEx. Also for all hotels(3%).
- Cap1 QS: 1.5% everything else. I'll keep it in my wallet until I get a 2% card (probably pc my Citi AA to DC after 2 yrs).
- Target REDcard debit: 5% in Target.
I go to Whole Foods a lot so I got a Chase Amazon card, but since Whole Foods accept Apple Pay, I have this card in my iPhone and don't have to carry the plastic(metal) card.
in my passport case, I carry Schwab Debit and Schwab AmEx Plat, for international travels. The Schwab Debit has no fees on cash withdraw around the world, so I get cash at local ATM for local currency, in case some stores don't take credit card. And Schwab AmEx Platinum card is eligible for use to entering Centurion Lounges.
You might look into BBP.
Forget 2%. You'd be earning 2.5%+ on up to $50k spend per year.
That is, 2x MRs with a minimum "Schwab cash" value of 1.25 cpp.
I have a DC, but only use it when I need a Citi perk.
This is kinda why I’m leaning towards just using my Gold for the dining credit until the AF hits. I don’t have the BBP so I wouldn’t be really maximizing earnings. Majority of my non cat spend is usually bills and I have the Cash+ to take care of at least half of that.
I currently use my Venture for non cat spend until the AF is due.
Citi Prestige - Restaurant + airfare / travel
Alliant - Rest
gold was the biggest let down with restaurant coding. Will renew my prestige.
In my wallet:
Discover It: 5% groceries this quarter and also when they offer 5% restaurants
BOTW Cash Back MC: currently for 3% dining, but also for 3% groceries when Discover or Freedom aren't offering 5% on either of those categories
PenFed Power Cash Rewards: 2% general spend
Chase Freedom: either for 5% groceries or restaurants
Citi Anywhere Visa: 2% Costco and 4% on all gas purchases (this is my primary gas card)
At home:
Amazon Prime Visa: 5% on Amazon purchases and currently auto insurance for 5%
U.S. Bank Cash+: 5% cell phone
BoA BBR: Netflix & Hulu for the $25 quarterly bonuses
I primarily carry the two below and use daily.
Amex BCP - 6% Groceries
Citi Costco - 4% gas, 3% dining/travel
Sock Drawer:
Citi AAdvantage - Business travel, all recurring purchases
Amazon Prime Card for the 5% back
every time i see this, "
"What card do you carry and why?
i always skip past the "card" part in my mind to IE:
What do you carry and why?
some of you will get it...
I carry 3
Cap One Quicksilver for general spend
CSP for travel and dining
Amex Delta Platinum for travel
Daily Drivers
CSR for resturants and travel
BCP for Gas and Groceries
Walmart Store card for Cash back at Walmart/Sams Club, Debit card without the risk of using debit.
Discover It for whatever the category is at the time, BOA Cash Rewards (groceries and currently online shopping), Cash Magnet (everyday purchases) and Costco (gas/dining). Have the Target redcard debit version for the 5%. Covers all my needs just fine.
