I don't like seeing high balances on my cards. It gives me flashbacks to when I was young and stupid and let them get away from me. I'll typically pay down what I can every couple weeks when I get paid. I actually get satisfaction from seeing everything paid down to zero. Purely emotional, yes, but this method works for me. It's not like I'm getting much return on money held for only a month anyway.
I Pay in full 3 days before statement due date, that it way it reflects before the cut out statment.
