My DH and I faced a similar situation recently. I called his insurance company to report the fraud and they didn't care!! They told me I could write them a letter if I wanted, but I was shocked that they would allow something like this to happen. So I would venture to say that it's not only the horrible frauds who violate our healthcare system who have us in such a mess, but the apathetic people at some of the insurance companies as well. I certainly don't assume that most insurance company personnel would be so apathetic, but I was disappointed when our rep was.
