This is what i found on the back of my cards that i currently carry:

1. Fidelity VIsa - 5520-MORPHO1 - Morpho Fingerprint Identification Technology

2. CSP - CompoSecure - Custom metal cards company

3. Venture 1 - Valid-USA-IL - Card manufacturing company

4. AMEX Delta Platinum - GTO MGY - Gemalto World Leader in Digital Security

That's interesting actually. IMO, I feel like Capital One's new Quicksilver cards are pretty high up there in quality compared to the others, you don't see the little dent the EMV makes on the back of the card that others seem to have. I know some people don't care for embossing though.

FU - Valid-USA-NJ

Freedom (The new design) - Valid-USA-IL

Prime Rewards - CompoSecure

PenFed PCR - CPI-CO

QS - HC (Harland Clarke?)

On the back of the QS you'll see 'OT' towards the right; I believe that is for Oberthur Technologies.  (I could be mistaken, though.)

It looks like CompoSecure and  Valid-USA-IL are the most popular used by Chase and Capital One.  I also found this below:

Below is the list of 13 largest credit card companies (as measured by number of active U.S. accounts)

1. Visa — 323M Cardholders

2. MasterCard — 191M Cardholders

3. Chase — 93M Cardholders

4. American Express — 58M Cardholders

5. Discover — 57M Cardholders

6. Citibank — 48M Cardholders

7. Capital One — 45M Cardholders

8. Bank of America — 32M Cardholders

9. Wells Fargo — 24M Cardholders

10. US Bank — 18.5M Cardholders

11. USAA — 10M Cardholders

12. Credit One — 6M Cardholders

13. Barclaycard US — 418K Cardholders (surprised by this!!)

c00mtg very interesting data. Also, thought Barclays had more cardholders. Oh, did not expect AX or Disco to be so similar in membership.

Very surprised NFCU isn't on the list.  Surely they have more than 418K cardholders.  They have least half that number here.

I found more data, and surprised to see that Discover has more acceptance than AMEX

Market Share Information

Visa 48.8%

MasterCard 31.3%

American Express 9.2%

Discover 10.7%

Market Share by Issuer

Chase 18.8%

Bank of America 15.8%

Wells Fargo 10.9%

U.S. Bank 9.9%

Citibank 7.9%

Capital One 5%

Rest 31.7%

I found out that NFCU has 4.79 million members, but could not find the distribution of VISA vs AMEX vs MC

The 2016 NFCU Annual Report says 6.8 million.

These lists often exclude USAA and most CUs due to restrictions on membership.
