FedLoans Credit Bureau Reporting

I finished rehab in May and unfortunately I was assigned to Fedloans. Fedloans initially told that my loan information would be reported to the credit bureaus at the end of the month once I made my first payment in June. I called them this week because it is still not reporting and was told that it was reported but it would take the credit bureau up to 3 months to update the information to my credit report. This makes absolutely no sense. Any advice on how I can get Fedloan to report my loan info to the bureaus?   Thanks

Congrats on finishing the rehab!
Oy, in a way I think it's unfortunate to be assigned to [insert any servicer] because they're all horrible.
I do "speak" FLS though and I believe the first answer was to put you at ease and the second answer was the actual truth. I've read that it can take several months for it to report from other people on here. Unless there's something won't with your account, it might just be a matter of waiting.
If they don't report it after that you can speak to an account specialist and see what's going on.

Re: FedLoans Credit Bureau Reporting

I know it's really irritating that these things take so long to report, but they eventually will.  That's probably not the answer you want, but these servicers just take a while to report everything.  And I know that the CRAs can take longer to get it on there.
I started paying my loans in (early) October (last year) and they didn't appear on my reports until (the end of) December.

Hang in there!  Congrats on getting that rehab done!

FLS is also my provider, and has been for years. They are always 2 months behind in just normal monthly reporting to the CRA's, and this has been this way for a few years now.

My rebuild worked for me, but won't necessarily work for you!

Re: FedLoans Credit Bureau Reporting

Still no reporting. Called fedloans and they stated it was reported in June and July to Equifax and Transunion. Called Equifax and they have no info from fedloans. This is really frustrating because I'm pre-approved for a house and I don't know how the student loan will effect my credit which of course will effect my mortgage scores.

I'm looking at my current CK pull of EQ and it doesn't have June or July.
If you have a report that is showing something it might be helpful to go back and see the date when they updated the payment history. Maybe your date is soon.

^  It took me about 6 months to figure out that on the 8th, my loan company reports the balance on the last business day of the previous month.

If you can get a person on the phone, maybe they can tell you what day they report, so you can keep an eye on your reports.   (I realize I'm thinking in terms of useful financial companies, here, not student loan servicers, but it might be worth a shot)
