I have previous student loans that went to collection, these were from quite a few years ago. I have went back and and Just graduted this past fall and the old collections were paid off. Well not quite paid off but put on my current student loans that are in good standing. WHen I look at my report they say past due amount, transferred, paid after collection and show a zero balance. My question, is there anyway to have these taken off my credit? They are from the MI Gnty Agcy, Nelnet and US Dept ED. I was thinking of sending a GW but would not know what to say. On my report it says they are due to fall off 2/15 and 3/15. I know its only a year away but would love to see them gone. Any help would be great.
