I’m 20 and have a credit score of 419 now because of loans help!

It’s my fault to blame on the part that I didn’t start paying them off and this happened 2 weeks ago. My credit score went from 656 to 419 because of 3 student loans i have that I didn’t pay. I didn’t realize that it was late enough to start affecting to my credit score. I went ahead and lay them up but I need to build my credit back. I have no credit cards so far and I’m trying to look in the right direction because I’m freaking out right now.

Welcome to the boards!

We some more information about these loans before we can help you...

Who are you loans with?
When was your DOFD?
Are these federal or private loans?
Did these ever go to collections?
Are they paid now?
Do you reports reflect paid, but with lates?
Whats lates are you showing? 30, 60, 90, etc?

Lastly, where are you getting your scores from?

My loans are with OSLA
My first late email was sent in September but it defaulted after the 31st
Federal loans
They never went to collections
I just paid them up today with payments up until April.
I have about 4,700 split between three loans
I was using Experian and credit karma. On credit karma it shows 419 for Transunion on Experian it says 474.

It’s telling me I’m over three months late

First, it happens. Oftem. Don't beat yourself up.
There's nothing you can do with the lates in terms of accuracy. There's no dispute and you can't Goodwill federal loans.
Now the good news... You can call your servicer and ask for a retroactive forbearance. Once they apply this is will remove the lates. After you get approved & your paperwork sometimes you will have to dispute with the credit bureaus to get it removed.
The first answer you get may not be the final answer so continue to keep calling your servicer, speaking with an account specialist, and one might eventually say yes. They can only go back 6 months, so this should work for you.
Creditchecktotal also allows you to see your FICO 8 for all three credit bureaus. The trial price is $1 and after you save your scores and reports, you can cancel on the website. It's tricky to find so check their FAQ. Another alternative is Discover credit scorecard or Experian's freecreditscore.com
Last, if nothing can be done your score can eventually recover. It will just take time and optimizing the rest of your score components.
Good luck.
