't plan on trying for an IBR plan. My current payment is less than $120 a month. I applied for consolidation and received this in an email message.

Please be aware that if you made any payments towards an IDR plan such as IBR, or are trying for PSLF it will completely reset your count/ years.

Thanks but I plan to stay on the standard plan and pay it off ASAP. I don't want to waste money on interest charges.

Ok. Now I see you meant you weren't going to be on an IDR plan. If that's all your monthly repayment is, you probably won't have anything to forgive anyway.
