Congratulations!
I'm nowhere near receiving it (at least three+ years of payments left), but I'm happy for you.
I will also hopefully have 20k forgiven by feburary. I hope I am able to get more. May I ask how you were able to get forgiveness? I know if you are a teacher you can work at some schools and get forgiven. Are there other options?
I took an 100 point hit when my loans were forgiven last month...
I thought it was my credit card usage at the time. Later realized that the closed account is what happened.
$95K wiped clean. I'm soooo grateful....
My score is creeping back too....

When did you turn in your PSLF form to Mohela?
I turned mine in back in mid-July and when I called last week to check status they said they have received my stuff but it has not been processed yet "due to the overwhelming demand."
Anxiously waiting.....I'll take a 100 point FICO hit for that in a New York minute
I did my application in October. Like October 13 or so.
I never even faxed or mailed anything and my loans were still cleared...
I do live in NYC, i know in my state there was some type of list sent of people eligible for forgiveness.
my score bounced back fast. i'm only down 24 points now.
When I got my loans transferred to MOHELA, my scores went up about 15 points due to a gap in reporting.
When MOHELA started reporting, I lost the 15 points I gained.
My loans, 1 week ago, were fully forgiven under PSLF. I'm almost positive I will get the 15 points back.
According to the Experian simulator, I would gain 15 points with a zero balance, but 35 points with a $1 balance.

Congratulations on the forgiveness! Your scores will rebound in time but what's even more valuable is that you've finally got that debt cleared 😃
Absolutely----Thanks!
I saved about $289 a month for a couple of years, then a little over $400 a month for the remainder of the paymenet period, which is about ten more years.
I feel very fortunate.
