Re: Paid Student Loans, No luck having them removed

The fact that you have multiple tradelines for the Sallie Mae loans is correct.  When a federal loan defaults, a claim is filed with the government and the debt transferred to a collection agency that can then also report a tradeline.  It also looks like the notations are correct, since USA Funds was updated to "Paid Account, etc" that seems to correctly reflect its status based on what you said.

The reason your disputes haven't worked is the reporting is accurate, and I would stop sending excessive disputes on information that is coming back verified.  At some point, the CRAs may flag you for nuisance disputes and that may make it harder to dispute inaccurate reporting in the future.

Your options at this point are to wait for the negatives to age off, or go ahead and try goodwill letters.  You can find details on the process and examples on this and other boards here.  There is no gaurentee of success, but unlike continuing to dispute accurate information, it won't have potential negative consequences.
