I'm feeling really hopeful right now!! I got a collection deleted off all three reports on the first try and it was a new collection, I paid off another collection 2/6/2013 which had a balance of $513.00, I've been paying down my CC by paying $150.00 a month and to top it off I checked my account this morning and had a "payment protection" credit of $98.89 on my account. I called Capital One and thy said the credit was valid, I was super excited.
hello I just saw my fico score for equifax it was 740! wow why is there such a big difference between trans and equifax at 697.
Im trying to get a loan for home repairs but im retired not sure if I can do that without a job and w2s please advise
I feel your pain..My TU Fico is 657 and EQ is 500
Goal completed! Received a scorewatch alert today after almost a month and was notified my credit score had increased to 766. 100+ point increase in one month!! I had paid off a large amount of my CC debt (90% -> less than 5%) at the beginning of January and its been over a year now from 2 late car payments so I guess those are becoming less important.
Now I'm going to wait a month or so before applying for a Chase Freedom.
I'm still waiting for my bk to discharge, but otherwise I'm on a good track. My scores have been creeping up just by paying my car loan on time, so I'm doing well. My second goal was to have $5,000 cash saved by the end of 2013 and I'm on track to complete that one as well, if not exceed it.
Last app in 2012 was a car loan, the final of three apps. App one from last year has bday next month, then June and November to go for their one year bdays. Scores should start going up really soon. Gardening until new mortage time.
I got two major hits that brough my credit score down 30 points which was so upsetting . I am working on PFD's, paying down my revolving account balances to 20% usage, and once that is complete saving up money to increase the limit on my secure capitol one card. Other than that I hoping that reducing debt and removing collections this month will help me out in the next 30-60 days!
This month was bittersweet. My scores have gone up an average of about 80 points each through having a lot of negatives deleted. I still have two medical collections on all reports and a verizon late payment that is no longer reporting as a collection and is paid. My scores are over the 640 I needed to be approved for a mortgage. Unfortunately the house I had built was put on the market lat January and as soon as I told my realtor to make another offer I found out it was already under contract to another buyer. So I lost my house and must start the process all over. So I went from a house and no scores to scores and no house. Inventory here is way doen from last year and I don't have the confidence to wait out another build. So although I am very excited about the improvements to my scores I am exasperated at the thought of building another home.
I'm just starting out but I have paid over $1000 to CC debt this month. That feels good. And I got my EQ FICO score which was better than I expected. Only up from here.
I started off the year with a FICO of 668 (equifax) and I'm now at 697 since joining the challenge. Changed the amount of debt I have on my credit card to under 30% and shot up 29 points. What is strange though is that I only went up 9 points via Experian (656-665). Don't get it.
