New to this, looking to increase my score after a rough divorce, requiring me to file a joint BK in 2016, to not be held accountable. Score has bounced back up, and have a few cards, but looking for longevity.
Looking for tips, etc!
Many on this MyFico Forum offer lots of good usable every day credit information. Look around (if you haven't already). When I had all the rough years (eight years to be exact after BK before I could even qualify for a real regular bank credit card) I did not know there were websites like this one. Figured everything out on my own and it was tough. Glad for all of you sharing as it has helped me a lot!
Update
After being approved for a mortgage in late June, I have applied for a few credit cards, were approved for two and a small loan for home improvements. I'm going to start gardening soon, my credit score has taken a hit! But still making progress, paying bills on time.
1st post! Wow - cannot belive how much work goes into fixing credit scores, but I am obsessed!
After ignoring my credit for 5+ years, I started my overhaul in September 2018 and have already gained 125. Excited to see how far it can climb in 2019!
Hi everyone!
I know it's not much, but I had a small boost too my score it was super exciting to receive the alert although only a small bump. I have hit the ground running the past week trying to get my credit reports cleaned up. Thanks to this forum, I was able to work out a deal with my school loans to get them updated after 3 months of on time payments with possible removal. I have paid off 2 of my smaller credit cards, one has showed as paid already the 2nd one has not updated yet. I wrote out a payment plan to have everything paid off by November.
@izzesparkscongrats on seeing the meter increase with more points! That has to feel great and would cause me to smile. It seemed to me that the points come in spurts with quiet times now and then. My frustration was with the quiet times. But, as has been said around the Forum, credit is not a sprint and it does take time.

"Not much"? I consider 12 points a big deal, and when I get increases like that, I'm estatic. Congratulations!
July check in. June 1st was 705.
