Just testing my new signature.
Just PIF all my credit cards two days ago.
Since the last check-in, I was able to pay off a personal loan that had a balance of approx $2600. However, I'm still waiting for it to reflect on my credit report. I have managed to reduce my total debt from 13k to currently 5k. My scores haven't changed since these payoffs and I'm starting to get discouraged. My credit score has been at 637 with the items reporting at paid in full/zero balance. I'm hoping that my scores will increase this month, even if's just 1 or 2 points.
In the meantime, I'm maintaining the balances I currently have by paying on time and not increasing my debt. I still have a long way to go, but I'm staying positive. I didn't get into debt overnight and I surely wont get out of debt overnight.
HOMEOWNERSHIP IS ON THE WAY......SOON!!!!!!!
I just got a 14 pt bump in my score! 29 pts in 3 weeks! Whooo!
March Update:
Starting $19571 in CC debt. $18240 as of 3/9.
$16900 @ 19.99%. $14760 @ 16.24% Called and got a 3.75% rate reduction.
$2671 @ 0% acct until the end of June. $3480 with another 0% transfer
Mortgage @ 5.5% until June.
All in all, I'd like to raise my score by 37 points to 740 by the end of the year. No change, still @ 703.
Hello Fellow Challengers,
I am so encouraged after reading the posts. I am working on paying off one of my credit cards in full this month (5 will remain). I am using the snowball method and I am finally beginning to see my snowball get bigger and take shape. I am so motivated to be debt free. I would like to pay down a large portion on credit card #5 because it has the highest interest rate at 27.99%. I have grown to hate that card and the bank its through. All the more reason I want to eliminate it. I feel like my new home will become a reality sooner than I think. Good luck to everyone.

NEWBIE here but March has been a good month for me thus far, I have roughly 3800 in revolving debt and one delinquent bill from ages ago so this month I paid 1900 towards those bills and closed that old bill I am hoping this will give my score a little kick in the bottom! This site is great and I am excited to be a part of it!

March has been good to me! My score is up thanks to decreased utilization. Sending out some goodwill letters soon!
It's exciting to see it go up! The little things in life .
