I know you are all hard at work with your credit goals. Have you progressed as far as you hoped? Were there any unforeseen expenses that cropped up and may have thrown you off schedule?
As a reminder, participation in these monthly check-ins is optional but encouraged. The goal is to help keep you on track, so feel free to post your progress updates here. This is a no-judging zone; feel free to say what's keeping you up at night or give yourself a Kudo for having it all together.
Did you hit any potholes or speedbumps? Achieve some milestones, either small or mighty? Change your goals or add new ones?
Let us know how you're doing!
Hi all. It has been a minute. Super busy with work, summer fun stuff, etc. Winter is coming, so time to hunker down a bit more.
Opened my Experian app Saturday morning to discover that my F8 had gone up by 16 points. Went on CapOne to check TU and received 14 points from them. My mortgage turned one year old in October, so that must be it, combined with overall profile aging another month. Nothing else has materially changed in my profile. That seems like a lot of points. Util is 1.3% overall. Individual util on one card is 8%.
Goal is to hold steady for the next six months or so. I don't have anything that I'm eager to app for, so that should not be a problem. Next April, I will have no inqs under 12 months across all three reports. That will be the first time in over a decade. Crazy new goal of mine is to have all three reports clear of inqs. Currently, EX has 0 inqs for last 24 months plus (actually pushing 36 months soon). November 2026 for TU and April 2027 for EQ.
Wishing you the best on your credit goals.

Starting Score: 469As always @Kenny thanks for keeping the thread going! I literally did nothing credit wise last month. No inquiries, no increases. I did use some cards but paid the balances on them. I'm simply letting my credit file rest after a couple of car purchases this summer. Waiting for a recovery after some drastic credit profile shake ups (closing and opening new auto loans and the associated inquiries). @Junejer good luck on your journey!
