I know you are all hard at work with your credit goals. Have you progressed as far as you hoped? Were there any unforeseen expenses that cropped up and may have thrown you off schedule?
As a reminder, participation in these monthly check-ins is optional but encouraged. The goal is to help keep you on track, so feel free to post your progress updates here. This is a no-judgement zone; feel free to say what's keeping you up at night or give yourself a kudo for having it all together.
Did you hit any potholes or speedbumps? Achieve some milestones, either small or mighty? Change your goals or add new ones?
Happy October, everyone!
Nothing too dramatic changed in September, but my AAoA hit 1 year, 9 months so I got a nice bump up to 751 (EX8), 774 (TU8), and 776 (EQ8).
Later this month, I'll be requesting my first (and only) CLI from Wells Fargo on my BILT card before the transition to Cardless happens in February. I'm planning to request a move from $2,500 to either $3,000 or $3,100. (My success with Navy Federal last month has left me feeling audacious, so maybe I'll push for $3,100 just to see if they grant it
) It's also time to request a CLI from Capital One on my Savor, but I suspect I'll get denied for insufficient use of my current line. We'll see!
See you all next month!

It was a good month overall. Keeping utilization low, and not opening any new CC accounts. My credit profile took a slight hit due to some changes. I closed 2 auto loan accounts and opened 1 new one. That shook things up, reducing my AAoA. Caused my Fico8 scores to drop by 10 points or so.
So I enjoyed having all scores above 700 for about a month, then this happened 😆 They'll bounce back over time. Im looking forward to next year when my AAoA bounces back and a bunch of baddies fall off. One day at a time, patience and perseverance... And good behavior (gotta avoid temptation)!
Starting Score: 611Update: the audacity didn't pay off this time. Capital One swiftly hit me with the "insufficient use of current credit line" reason (as I expected) and Wells Fargo informed me I do not have enough "experience" with my BILT. I'll retry in January, once my AAoA hits 2 years.
