Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2021!

I am six month from discharging a chapter 7.  I would like to get my scores up enough to purchase a car without double digit interest rates.  I would like to get my scores up to 720.  The Fico stimulator tells me that I can raise my score if I pay off $56K of my student loans, but I don't see that happening soon.

Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2021!

I am new here. Since July of last year I have been working to increase my credit score. I made a lot of stupid mistakes in my past not realizing how damaging it would be to my future. So now here I am ready to buy a home for the first time and being haunted by those past mistakes that have resulted in low credit scores. This year I would really like to buy my first home. So it is so important that I get my score up to at least a 670 is what I have heard. I'm close, but not seeing what else I can do over the next few months to get there. I recently paid of all my credit cards which gave me a boost. Working hard to get there and educating myself!

Hi!  Welcome to the Forum!

To help with scores do a search here for AZEO.  That will help you maximize scores with your tl's.  Do you have any derogs on your cr's?  If so, you can list them here or in the "rebuilding" section for advice.  Good Luck to you and hopefully you'll have the house keys in your hands soon.  The higher your scores, the lower your interest rate will be and hopefully you'll find advise that you can use to help with that.

1: gardening until jul 2022, +800 scores.

2: pay off cc debt [$6,250].

3: reducing the amount of cards [min 24mo of history before closing each].

Re: Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge 2021!

Joining this challenge late, but my 2021 goal is to break 700 on one or more scores, and to pay down all cards to within range that I can pay them off each month (less a little left to report on one - AZEO)!
