Hi everyone! I'm so happy to have found this site. After finding wonderful information portal--so many light bulbs have gone off and I’ve learned So Much!
2013 Goals
Thanks for the information! I was not sure what the difference between the different companies that allow you to look at your scores. So far, my FICO seems to be the most honest one that I have looked at. Having boards, options to choose from. I was wondering what happened to Experian (sp?) I thought I remembered being able to look at all 3 from here before. Oh well, the more things change. Thanks! :-)

Hello, I have been reading all of the different posts on these forums and I have learned so many new things. It is really great to see that I'm not alone in my credit journeys. My goal this year is to buy a house! I changed my util from 88% to currently 29%. I have to admit it's a great feeling to see $0 balances on my credit cards and no longer have a car payment. I still have a few bucks to pay on 2 cards but I'm getting there. Thanks for being here!
I attempted to fix mine and my husband's CR last September when I found this forum. With a teenager, 2 toddlers and a high stress job, I couldn't keep up. So here I am today, completely dedicated, have saved the funds to tackle this once and for all. I switched my job and now work 2 days a week so I can concentrate on our finances and get us into our dream home this year!!! I had a mentor here. I forgot his name. If you see this and remember me, PLEEAAASE pm me again.
My CO's:
Chase judgement $2076
HSBC $904
People's Lending $1430
Univ of Phonex $455
Account Recovery $102
My husband's CO's
LVNV (used to be HSBC/Bestbuy) $4143
RBS $620 (stated past due on CR)
I was going to start by calling them and asking for PFD. Should I do that? I'm trying to pay these ASAP. I have some money saved, but I want to do this the quickest way it'll get my scores up. Please help!
I'm also new here and really want to get into a house instead of wasting money on renting. I have a better job and make more money and have started saving in order to correct all the negative marks on my CR. If somebody wouldn't mind helping mentoring me that would be great too and look forward to the help of this community.
