7 yearsto remove negatives from your credit, BUT from what date?

Smiley WinkI know its 7 years to clear any negative debt that has been paid off.  I know it reflects poorly.  But from what date does the 7 year removal go in place, from the date you opened that account, from the date it was sent to collections, or from the day it was paid of in collections....

Please advice...Smiley Very Happy

Re: 7 yearsto remove negatives from your credit, BUT from what date?

IF the account is in a positive status- the lates will be removed when they hit the 7 year mark-

IF the account staus is negative- the entire account will be removed at 7 years past DOFD.

For Collections- it goes 7 years after the ORIGINAL DOFD from the original creditor.

EQ uses DOLA for DOFD-
