Well, $21k is a lot of coin to pay off. It would help score, but so would getting the card below 90%, ptovide some benefit.  

The concern would be where does that cash come from, and what else is that cash to be used for?

whatever the rational he owes the money to wf, he is paying through the nose, see upload, and he just got the $ out of retirement to pay it off.  as I mentioned he had a procedure yesterday but I believe paid $7K before they gassed him just to verify they will not balance chase him and I will have him pay the rest off in 2 chunks this week before it cuts on the 17th.  thank you.  he is a great guy, very special person who I adore.  after this is done and he gets on his feet he will look into the refi options.  will report back what transpires after the it gets reported
