Added DH to my Discover as AU, his TU FICO 8 jumped 18 points

Had my Secured Discover since November 2018, it just graduated beginning of this month to unsecured and a 1600cli (now $2000 cl)

Added DH to my card about a week ago, and got an alert on MyFico today for both him and me at EXACTLY the same time. Discover reported midcycle on both of our reports.

His TU FICO 8 went up 18 points. Mine did not go up at all (even with the increased CL).

Haven't alerted any changes as of right now for EX or EQ.

So obviously being an AU does still influence scores for TU FICO 8. We are both due to pull our reports later tonight so we will see if it changed any of his other scores.

I had about the same results - my partner added me as an AU and I got a jump of 20pts on TU and 16 on EX.   There was no change on EQ, but I have some really old tradelines on there and my AAoA did not change much (whereas there were sizeable hops on the other two).

FICO 8 has an anti-abuse algorithm, not all AU's count as a result but in this case yours did.  Sorta YMMV as a result but a win is a win and nothing ventured nothing gained.
