If you have COs, you're in a different position than this thread, which is only about how delinquencies age if left untouched. You will get better advice in the Rebuilding forum.

it still involves how delinquencies age off and trying to understand FICO scoring. It doesn't need a rebuild, but rather it needs to fall off whether it be the late or the whole TL. As I have just let it age just under 7 years.

TU and EQ had taken my first 30 day late last month and deleted the late payment.  Experian deleted

the entire tradeline. A few days ago, TU and EQ deleted the entire tradeline. Scores went up to the Low 800's

and I'll gladly take it!  Lesson learned, I won't be cosigning ever again!

Thanks to all for their help and their kind words!  Smiley Happy

Thanks!  I'm so glad this is finally over!  The end result was I gained 41 points with EQ,

48 with TU and 36 with EX.  I remember members on this board would tell me that I

was almost there!  It will happen for you too!  Keep us posted!

Good Luck! Smiley Happy

Re: Aging Delinquencies

Congrats to @VanderSnoot  & @SleeplessinMA  as well as @Anonymous  for your recent sucess!

Just wanted to chime in and add my story. I had 5 student loan lates reporting on both TU & EQ that where hanging around for seems like an extremity. I was contemplating a EE on the whole account not realizing at first that this process would remove the (entire) account an likely once lates where aged no score boost would be gained.

After corresponds with @VanderSnoot  gained some valuable information. Let the lates just age in which they finally did on my EQ. Went for a nice boost from 735--->789 😲.

Now to wait out TU which has all but 2 lates now reporting. I will report back when they have aged! Thanks again😉

Starting FICO08 Scores 2016 All in the mid 500’s
Current FICO08 Scores SEP 2023 (TU 834) (EQ 831 (EXP 831)

Congrats @credit_endurance! It really is just a waiting game, as difficult as it can be sometimes. I'm looking forward to eeking out a few more points as accounts continue to age.

Re: Aging Delinquencies

@SleeplessinMA awesome for you tu actually deleted 2 months early instead of 1, maybe when early next year rolls around I will get that lucky I'm expecting a huge jump on ex in July 4 accounts with 120+ lates which they should delete the whole string of lates I can't wait

Awww, thanks and Congratulations to you as well, bruisedcredit!

I decided to wait out my lates coming off my account, instead of asking for an EE, due to some of

the horror stories I have seen on these forums.  To be honest, I am very impatient to wait for

anything but you learn to be patient playing this numbers game.

The information you gain on these forums is indeed valuable, you learn so much from the

advice that is given.  That was a very nice boost in your score !  You're going to have to

start thinking of a new name!

@Anonymous, Thank you!  Its a wonderful feeling to finally be clean on all reports.  I have been

counting this down since I joined MyFico last May.

If those are the last baddies left on your credit reports, it should be a very nice boost!

I am excited for you! You're almost there!
