Amounts charged of as opposed to forgiven

Five of my credit card accounts were forgiven through 1099c reporting.  I no longer owe the debt with the maximum allowed by law having been forgiven.  Any remaining balance has aged past the statute of limitations and has limited collectability (lender can no longer sue).  No further collection activity is scheduled by lender.  The credit agency (Experian) will not (yet) change the way these items are reported.  How would these items be reflected in a Fico score?

Re: Amounts charged of as opposed to forgiven

It is unlikely the debts were "forgiven" but just that one or more of the IRS's 1099C filing requirements were triggered. Most 1099Cs have no effect on CRA reporting..

I have reestablished credit over the last couple years
so my moniker is, well, rather out of date.
