Trudy,
In your first column, you have an EQ FICO 8 classic score of 870.
FICO 8 - EQ 870, TU 790 , EX 810
Yep, wrong. corrected to 817. Thanks.

Percentile tables show no significant difference between Classic Fico 8 and Classic Fico "mortgage" in the mid score range (say 620 to 760).
As a generalization, I'm sure that's true... but, it's worth noting that the data provided by Medic and HO in this thread oppose the generalization. Medic has FICO 8 scores around 750 (within that 620-760 range) but his mortgage scores seem to be 50-70 points or so behind. Conversely, you've got HO with FICO 8 scores all about 800 with mortgage scores right along side them.
@Anonymous wrote:BBS...... I wasn't sure if you are aware but don't get the one time reports($60) or the monthly($40) either. Sign up for the quarterly($30) then cancel. Resign up each month for the quarterly. Obviously you'll save at least $30 from not getting the one time reports, and save $10 each month by signing up for the quarterly/cancel method and still have all of your scores updated each month.
Good to know. I know that it was $30 for the all-scores option, but wasn't sure exactly what it was as I've never looked into it. I appreciate the heads up!

Well of course that is to be expected and this specific observation was noted and discussed in other threads a couple years back. Treatment of small dollar collections, open installment loans, new accounts, # cards with balances, medical collections and AU cards all appear to be weighed differently between mortgage Ficos and Fico 8. Given 4 derog scorecards for Fico 8 and 2 for Fico mortgage, negatives in general will impact score differently between the models.

One thing I've noticed is that mortgage scores generally speaking seem to run a bit (and sometimes a good bit) lower than Classic 8 scores, although I have not looked at all that many direct comparisons. The data provided by Medic and TT above seems to go along with this.
The point is Fico 8 scores generally run a bit higher but only at the upper range. The reason for running higher is primarily because of the lower maximum achievable mortgage scores. The skew associated with mortgage score limits really becomes apparent when Fico 8 scores reach 830 (95% percentile).
Fico 8 scores do not generally run higher in the mid and lower score ranges as shown by Experian and TransUnion data that includes tens of millions of observations. In the middle score range it is just as likely mortgage score will be higher as it is Fico 8 will be higher. Typically the scores are not the same - they just average out to about the same value overall in the mid range. [This is by Fico design]

Interesting. Looking at your EQ Fico 9 score compared to EQ Fico 8 and EX Fico 04 suggests a paid collection over $100 might be in play on.
Can you provide some additional information to help explain the score shift. Also, do you have an aged 30 or 60 day late in the mix on EX and TU?

The day after these scores were pulled I had 1 inquiry on Experian for an auto loan and my EX fico 8 score has not changed according to CCT and myFICO. It should be a little while before the new loan hits my report since I am still waiting for the car to arrive at the dealership. I will try to grab at least my fico 8 scores on 12/1/18 to be able to isolate any aging from the new account.
