Cap1 fall off gains me 51 points!

686 to 737, personal best (from low 500s this time last year)

Util high right now (34%) going down to  <10% this month. When I popped from 10 to 30 on the way up lost 19 points so hoping this will put me in 760+

Also getting my lost/replaced HSBC card to start reporting as Current/Open since it will also help util (0$/$3k) and be another good card.

Then hopefully I can add an installment loan (plan is $1k, pay off $800 first month) and that should help util and mix.

Finally, hoping to add Amex and date back to old 1980 account.

Lastly, thinking I should have them remove my old 1980 closed amex itself, since that is reporting as $1035 balance which seems to indicate to me a CO even though account doesnt' officialy report that.  Or does losing that 28 year old account even though closed/over help me?

In any event, pushing for 800 if I can manage that by Feb (2 Cards and 2 Inquiries have 1 year bdays then too)

Thanks!  It has been in a word, a war (or a full-time job, depending on how you look at it).   And I could not have done it without all the great people and advise here on this board...

I know exactly what you mean! But a war worth fighting! Especially at this date in time! Finding the advice and support of the people on these boards has made such in a difference--not only in my scores, but the way I treat my credit and finances.

And not just the advice, but sometimes more importantly---the moral support!

I'd love to say a single thing I did made a difference.  I disputed, document verified, disputed some more, had a lawyer right letters, had a lawyer off PFD, even Pay for Update to $0, even Pay for reactivate. Nada.  It just fell off. NOW, if you're account went delinquint (first month a missed payment was recorded) in 1999 or anytime before December of 2001, it HAS to come off and you can disupte it as such.

Congrats, but I really do not know if a small loan will help. Your scores with new util will be all you need. last thing that would help is lowering average age and dinging points initially. with that score, a $1k loan isn't a deal breaker. Find the right loan/card that excites you and let that age. You are where I hope to be when my last ca's fall off (all things being equal) May '09.

When that happens, I get Boa/city and 2 business cards.

I've pretty much dropped the loan idea.  It is less about manual review however then it is scores. BizCredit consultant tells me if i can get even one score to 800 I'll be golden.  High-700s are good of course Smiley Happy

So since Efax is at 737, I'm thinking even getting to 1% utilization is not going to get me past 770 tops.  If I can get the Amex AND have it aged to old account that might get me even closer. SO looking for a few 10-15 point tricks here and there.
