Re: Chase

i highly doubt the tradeline will get reinserted, especially with TU. yes the account still has a balance of about 3,000. eventhough i think you could work on your public relations skills, i appreciate your feedback but maybe you misunderstood and thought i was taking it too personally. yes, i think chase sucks. but to me they are just a credit card company. if i dont like the way they do business, i can search for another credit card company that fits my needs.

p.s. since it is pretty obvious you work for chase, i could just send you a PM with my account number and we could see what we could work out. Smiley Happy just kidding of course. i would never do such a thing.

Since there is still a balance and that balance will change as you pay it down I would assume that Chase will report each new balance to TU. That would reinsert the tradeline. If the balance was $0, Chase would not have a reason to report the tradeline again.

I understand your feelings about Chase. I was merely pointing out why Chase is justified in reporting the lates and cautioning you that you might create more problems for yourself by taking the position that the credit bureaus must remove the lates. I thought that the main issue was that you wanted the lates removed. I was only trying to help by suggesting that you ask (not demand) that Chase remove some lates as a gesture of goodwill.

Just because I explained why Chase can report lates and cannot be forced to remove them, doesn't mean that I work for Chase. You can claim that I need more "public relation skills" if you want. I could say the same for you but I won't Smiley Wink

I know that you are having problems with your debts and credit reports apart from the Chase late reporting issue. In order to recover and rebuild I would encourage a certain amount of objectivity.

If my observations were offensive to you I am sorry. I hope that at least others who find themselves in your situation, will realize that making demands are not always in one's best interest.

This is a forum that supposedly frowns upon sharing methods of removing valid information from credit reports. If in my opinion certain reporting is valid, I believe that I am not out of line when I call attention to the fact.that the lates will only be removed by accident as was the case with TU. The fact is that you did dispute legitimate lates and got them (along with the tradeline removed). I thought that that was a no no for discussion in this forum.

I understand that some people will be of the opinion that you have been wronged and that disputing the lates was alright because they were not legitimate.  The fact is that you fell behind in payments and were late. The bank worked with you to prevent a charge off. That still doesn't change the fact that you were late. Even though you had been late you disputed the entries with all three bureaus anyway.

I can understand your point of view and you certainly can disagree with my point of view. That is fine. You can bash Chase if you like. I could care less. I wouldn't care even if I did work for the bank.

As far as I am concerned, all of the "too big to fail banks" don't play by the same rules the rest of us must obey.

I wish you well with your debt management and credit repair efforts. I wouldn't worry about the lates for now since you are battling other issues with your credit repair. The fact is that when you have made a year's worth of on time payments with Chase while reducing your $3,000 balance: you can try a GW letter and could very well successfully remove some of the lates at that time.
