Credit Scores

I am wondering, Experian gives real scores every 30 days but what about like in Discover, Cap one they offer? Cuz I see Experian shows 744 but in cap 1 app, it shows 514.

I want to make sure, should I follow Experian at all cost?

Re: Credit Scores

Capital One uses the VS 3.0 model (not Fico) which is a very unmeaningful score relative to Fico scoring.  Discover provides you with a TU Fico 8 score, which is widely used and very relevant.  Experian also provides Fico scores and depending on the product the scores provided can come from a bunch of different scoring models.

What's important to know is the scoring model used and the bureau data used to generate a score.  The source of the score isn't really important, it's these two variables I just mentioned that matter.  If these variables are the same and scores are generated at the same time (thus using the same data) from two different sources, the scores will always exactly match.

Re: Credit Scores

Disco Scorecard is EX 8

Disco Cardholder is TU 8

Cap1 is FAKO 3.0 just the same as CK whcih isn't good for knowing where you stand for an app for a new card / loan

Exoerian.com provides a free Fico 8 whenever there's a credit  change or monthly

Experian.com Credit Watch gives you 7 FICO scores updated daily. If that's what you're looking at, yes follow it at all cost.
