Morning,
DISREGARD....I FOUND THE ISSUE...THANKS.
Had one collection account on my report with Midland, paid it about a week ago and was removed off Experian today. The result was a 14 point decrease............BIG BUMMER!
Nothing else changed on the report so not sure what to attribute the decrease to. Oh well, thinking big picture my report is cleaner.
I am wondering, how did you check your score and what score was it? Few people here have seen their EX score go down in the last couple days over nothing. But its the EX mortgage score.
I'm going to guess that collection was the only derog reporting in your profile.
No more derogs reporting -> clean file -> you got rebucketed.
Even though you had a score decrease getting rebucketed would be a good thing and your scores should start to improve over the next few months to well beyond where they were before the collection account was deleted.
