Here is the deal...Through credit cards and creditscorecard.com I can get free monthly fico08 from all but EQ...some even from multiple sources. I also get a free EX fico 09 from Wells Fargo. Citi does provide an EQ fico bankcard 08 which is listed below, but is over 850 and is a maximum 900 scale. Does anyone know how the bankcard score would equate to the regular fico 08. Could I just deduct maybe 25 points from it and be real close? I wish I had a free source for EQ fico 08.

One free source for EQ FICO 8 is Langley FCU.
Not just anyone can be a member of that credit union, can they?

Yes, anyone can be a member. Here's an article about Langley:

I never refer to credit unions that are limited membership.

Is the free EQ fico 08 provided just for CU membership, or does it require you to also get their credit card? I suppose just membership requires a hard pull, would that be right?

Sorry I don't remember the answer to either question. I can only say that if there is a hard pull for membership it's worth it, because Langley is a quality outfit.

Well...I can certainly call them Monday and it would be worth exploring...I love credit unions anyway. I am already a member of 2, and my relationship with both is outstanding. I mean at one of the an auto loan was at 1.75% interest rate...who else does that? Thanks for the info!

You'll like Langley. Great customer service. And their products are great too. My PLOC is at 8.75% APR and my Visa card is at 8.25% (across the board) with no balance transfer fees or cash advance fees.
Once you get your EQ FICO 8 Classic, I think you'll be pretty safe in expecting the difference between it and the BE to be fairly constant. I.e. if it is 25 points less then most of the time it will be 21-29 points less. You can grab your Classic via Credit Check Total for a buck.
Certainly from a practical point of view (applying for credit) an 820 FICO 8 Classic is way higher than any lender cares about. So is an 800 for that matter.
I was curious about this question a few years ago, which Thomas Thumb looked into for me. My BE score was not nearly as high as yours back then (though now I have a BE score that hovers in the 870s). I was curious whether lenders who used the BE score tended to have a higher requirement for it, since it can go up to 900. His research seemed to show that the BE and Classic track pretty closely in the 700s, though as the Classic crosses over 770 the BE starts to climb. Since no lender really cares about Classic scores higher than 760, his view was that lenders who use BE would be no more likely to have a higher benchmark than those who use Classic.
Obviously any particular profile could have a BE of 760 with a Classic of 720 (or even the reverse) but considered in aggregate the two models tend to track very closely between 670 and 770.
@CGID....I do realize with my scores, from a practical point of view, knowing the classic score is rather pointless. I mean, I am not going to be declined due to my score, but like many here...I am not practical. Always seeking TT type scores...850 trifecta!!!
