In two years I will join this "FICO High Achievers" club
I am getting so close to the 800 club but keep falling short. Hopefully by next month, I might finally crack the barrier. I'll have my UTIL down to 1% which is way better than 47% about a year ago. I paid almost $20K to get to where I am today. I still have one late payment showing up on my CR from 02/2009. Next year, this will fall off and should definitely put me over the top for sure.
I lokked at my credit scores at Karma.com and I know that they use something different , but similiar to Fico. They have the same credit information on me that Fico has. I have low 600 scores with Fico and very high scores with Kredit Karma. It is not a small difference. What is going on? I hope that I am posting this message in the right place.
You're in the right category if you have FICO scores of 760 or higher. If not, . . . there are other categories to select from.
When contemplating a loan for an auto, mortgage, or other major purchase, most of the lenders consider FICO scores to qualify for a loan. I don't know why you would have such a diverse score from CreditKarma, if both have the same information. Perhaps they use different criteria in scoring.
Just wanted to share my joy, my scores just got updated and my
EQ FICO: 811
TU FICO: 819
Credit history: 6 years
Average account age: 3 years
Obviously the thing that's hurting my score the most is the credit history length (fair) and the average account age.
Couldn't be happier ... well I could be, but I am working on it... I just can't beat time
Good show, sfoboy. What were your starting scores back in 2009?
Well, starting was 0
I was new in the country at the end of 2008. So I started building credit with an installment (secured) loan and about 6 months later (as far as I remember) my starting FICO scores were around:
EQ FICO: 610
TU FICO: 620
Finally checked my scores today and they are something shout about. Takes due dilligence. (sp?)
EQ - 850; EX - 850; TU - 850. FICO 8 is 850.
I couldn't copy that neat display page with the scores, so there it is. Been anticipating this since I found Myfico.
