FICO 2 data point

FWIW -

Clean, thick file.  Applied for a CC a couple of weeks ago.  FICO 2 went from 805 to 794.  Not overly surprised.

What did surprise me was that score dropping to 788 when my util went from (just over) 0% to 1% (just over $4K in card debt reporting).

FICO 8 remained at 815 (down from 819 before I app'd for the card).

2025 Goal: save 3 months' net income

Starting FICO8: 666 (give or take a FICO)
[ Last INQ 12-Feb-2024 ]
EQ8502 INQ (Auto, Mort)7y4m
EX8506 INQ (2 CC, 2 mort, 2 auto)7y
TU8501 INQ (CC)6y8m
3/241/12AoYA 10m | AoOA 24y2m~1%

Yeah, FICO 9 is 850 as well. Smiley Happy

Had the new account reported when FICO 2 dropped 11?

Re: FICO 2 data point

Wow... @expatCanuck that is Hella interesting. So the bigger hit came from the tiny utilization rise. I'm thinking that statistically (or even behaviorally) there is no difference between the two but something else going on in the reverse. I'm gonna try and put together some more data points on my working theory.

Dude this is good information.

For another DP, on my dirty profile several months back I had gone from AZEO 9%, 0%, 8% aggregate to 10%, 6%, 9% aggregate and I lost 4pts on FICO2 683 to 679 (no change on FICO5 and FICO4, FWIW). Went back to 683 with a return to AZEO though even lower util (1%, 0% <1% aggreate) hasn't increased it higher.
