I was a 741 last month and this month I am at 751. Before 741 it was 747, it dropped 6 points because I had a higher than normal credit utilization % that month. I payed it all off on time though but is that really enough for me to jump 10 points in 1 month? Credit Karma says that my only hard inquiriy from 2 years ago has dropped from my credit report but at the same time Credit Karma says that was my only hard inquiry when in reality I have applied for and gotten approved for 3 credit cards and a charge card in the past 1 YEAR. So I guess would the hard inquiry from 2 years ago that dropped from my report and the fact that I payed off the high balances be the reason for the 10 pt jump?
Yes, paying down the util will give you a boost, a HP falling off will give you a boost, your AAoA aging will give you a boost. Congrats on the 10 points!

I didn't know it would as much as 10 pt boost, thanks!
In general, there are lots of small things going on with your credit from month to month, and it's often hard to fully tie down small point changes.
A lot of these small things are age issues -- increased AAoA, inquiries dropping off, derogatories losing their punch, and so on.
