Yes, you have helped tremendously.  But I am confused still.. So the 26 points will get deducted after they finish investigating the collection? Sucks!

I thought HTSU said that it applies to everything except collections..?

I don't think that the 26 points results from the collection dispute. You've done something else to make the FICO gods smile.

How long had it been since your pulled your EQ before (or got a score alert)? Maybe your scores had already gone up quietly in the background. But no, then you should have gotten an earlier alert. Was there any other change on your report that the alert just didn't mention? Fewer cards reporting, lower balances, a card or a baddie had a "birthday", etc.? I'm baffled...

Hmm I have not pulled my report from Ex recently.. I am contemplating if I should do it now or after the dispute is over.  How long for them to finish the dispute..?

And then, how long for it to get off my record once they decide to delete??

I'm afraid to dispute anything at the moment.  They're all at least 3 years old and I want sleeping dogs to lie.  Everything is paid and has been for awhile, but I am curious what disputing would to do my scores. 

As far as SW is concerned I seem to 'beat it' every time.  I see a significant change on TC, then pull my scores and VOILA, no alert even though things are changing.

I had 13 uglies fall off EQ and my score went up about 35 points, so I'm in agreement with HTSU, something else happened to make the Fico Dieties smile.
