Well, it has finally happened. Checked my TU Fico Score today and it was.... (drumroll please).... 707!
Thanks to all who have given advice and encouragement to me over the past year. I was actually pretty surprised to see the 707 score as TU was 684 as of 1/15/11. That was quite a jump. I hope it sticks!
My EQ Fico is still climbing but holding at 678. Not too shabby and much better than the 666 (what an evil number to have!) it seemed to stay at for the latter half of 2010.
To Recap: I started using Myfico in March 2010. At that time my scores were:
EQ: 632
TU: 655
Prior to all of this my Credit History and Fico scores were abysmal. Back in June 2009 when I got a car loan, my scores were in the mid 500's. However, by jan 2010, I did have a bunch of baddies drop off my report. That occurance combined with the car loan ( my only TL) resulted in my starting MYFico scores above.
I applied for a recieved 2 CC's in March 2010, upping my total TL's to 3. They are all in good standing. I do have 1 medical collection from May 2006 for $180.
Anyway, just thought I'd give a brief outline of my credit history to show to others that YOU CAN DO IT! Don't give up
Peace,
Vik
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Feels great, huh? Well, don't forget to update your FICO Fitness Challenge siggy-- you've reached your current goal!
Thanks! It feels great. Siggy is updated
Strange to think that almost a year ago I had no idea how much my Fico Score meant or even how it worked. Part of me is dismayed at how much a number can affect your life, and yet, thanks to MyFico and the Forum, I now feel that I have some sort of knowledgeable control.
Peace,
Vik
