Disputed old public record (7+ years and paid) with CRAs. Did Experian online, sent letter from MyFico kit to TU and EQ. Experian has already deleted--how do I know when the others have reviewed/deleted--I know it's 30 days, but want to be sure before I repull reports. In reading other threads, I'm not sure I understand the definition of aged public records--is it from date of file (more than 7 years) or date I found out it existed and had it released (3/07).
With thin credit otherwise--average score for the three is 677--how much should I realistically expect my score to increase?
You could pull your free reports. Request paper copies. Takes a little longer to arrive than online access. If they are still on your paper copies when they arrive, call 'em up and ask about your disputes. Actually, you could call 'em anyway now.
