Yesterday I received a notification from MyFico stating that my Equifax score had changed. Historically, my Equifax score has been the lowest score due to baddies and I also took a 16/17 point loss across all 3 for a $29.00 Capitol One secured card fee reporting while doing AZEO.
So I logged in to see a 72 point increase on Equifax only. I thought that maybe a baddie had dropped off early, but it hasn't. It says my Amex (Rose) Gold balance decreased by $532. This is the normal way that I pay my Amex every month, but it seems like this time it reported as a revolver?
I have no other changes to my accounts. This is the only change that I can identify.
I've attached some screenshots below. The change was also reported to Experian (4th screenshot), however there it says Not_Reported%, and I had no score increase on Experian. Nothing has been reported to TransUnion yet.
Has anyone ever seem this before?
In the event that it's valuable to this discussion, below are my other current accounts and utilization:
Your EQ score is now in line with rest of your scores
Did you have a negative that might have been removed?
I'd look into a reason why EQ was so much lower to begin with, versus utilization on a charge card.
Alerts and score changes are sometimes not related at all.
Hi Remedios,
Thanks for the reply. You are correct, it has always been an outlier but I can't identify anything that would have contributed to the increase. The only other explanation is maybe something did indeed drop off but has not yet been reported?
Maybe check your comments?
My TU was lower than the rest because my student loan was erroneously reporting "partial payment agreement". When it was removed, my score shot up like 71 points.
@grower1 any updates to this mystery? I am really curious

It is indeed a mystery as to why the Amex charge card seems to be reporting similarly to the way it would report if it were an ordinary revolver.
But I'm sure the 72 point swing in your EQ FICO 8 was not caused by that.
Hi @Remedios
Nope, still can't figure it out. When I started on my rebuild, I had never had credit before. No credit cards, no loans, just a few medical bills for $75 and $94. They are still on my reports today but one is due to fall off in February. Everything else on my file has remained the same. I've been checking daily for changes or updates. I'm hoping that it's not some type of mistake that will be corrected in the coming days.
