Is it normal for Fico scores to go down when something is being disputed?

Early this week, my Fico's were:  TU 631, Exp 666 and Equ 667, then I disputed the fact that they had two duplicate accounts for a car note that I paid years ago, but they said I was delinquent 150.00 before I paid it off.  I notified Eq that it was a duplicate account for the same car but different acct numbers and now they are investigating. Well I look at my scores yesterday and they are now
TU 651, an increase of 15pts, Exp 666 and Equ 657.  I'm so depressed over this now, because I'm working very hard to get my scores up just to feel better about myself and to hopefully next year buy a house in Las Vegas, hopefully with 100% financing.  any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Yes-
Scores can go up or down during a dispute-

(for the exception fof public records, collections and utility) the disputed accounts are taken out of the FICO scoring.

It does give you some idea if an account is helping more than hurting though-
