No. The mortgage inquiry will not affect score until it’s 30 days old.

There are three things that have to be the same in order for the report data and score to be the same: Number one is the date and time of pull, Number two is the bureau must be the same, and number three is the version must be the same.

If all three of those are the same then the score will be the same. Keep in mind the bureaus datasets are updated throughout the day (per EX CSR), even though we don’t have access to that necessarily. So it’s possible for something to be updated in the middle of the day and for one to have one score in the morning and a different score at night. It depends on when the bureaus insert reported data into their datasets.

For example a bank might report September 30 to Equifax, but Equifax might not insert that into its dataset until October 2, but the reported date will still say the date it was reported to EQ, September 30, even though it didn’t go onto their dataset until two days later. Interstitial delay.

Mortgage broker pulled Beacon 5 on 10/02/03, his is 598, denied. Equifax, updated 9/30/20 and 10/02/20 shows 628.

@Anonymous Welcome. BTW A lot can happen between 2003 and 2020 to a credit file. 😉
