My FICO scores are weird

I did apply for a non-secure card from Capital one and was denied.  I am going to wait 10 days to see whats up with that.

Have you tried the prequal at Discover?  It is only a soft inquiry so no need to worry about filling it out.  If they offer you a secured then I would take it for sure.  The Open Sky secured Visa requires no credit check and is pretty much a guarantee.  You'll need to start somewhere.

Okay...I think I have it figured out for the deny.  I got an email from capital one and they said : Based on your credit report from Experian, Credit bureau information is missing or unavailable.  I was looking the other day, and my report is frozen because of the Equafax breach.  My guess is I need to release that.  Would you all agree?

You have to unfreeze your reports whenever you are seeking credit.
