First, there is no need to bump your thread 11 minutes after you post.  Someone will eventually respond.

Yes AU accounts affect your credit.  If the card has a balance, that amount is considered part of your overall utilization and can therefore lower your score.  If there is a late payment on the account, that too will lower your score.

I just read this
If you are an authorized user on an account, such as on your spouse's credit card, this information is not included in your summary information

So is it included??

Not sure where you are reading that but any account that you are an AU on and it reports to the credit bureaus can and does affect your credit score.  It can decrease it but it also can increase your score by lowering your utilization.  It really depends on the balance, if any, and the payment record of the main account.

I think the confusion from the OP is whether or not having an AU hurts your score.

Simply having an AU isn't going to make your score go up or down.  It's how the AU racks up a balance that will cause the shift in score.

That is more than likely the reason for the drop. The AU account is factored the same as your personal accounts, from what I have read at least. Unless you really need it for some reason I would drop the AU. Call the creditor and have yourself removed.

If the AU account holder misses a payment, goes delinquent, etc it will effect you as well.

I was an AU on a account that went into charge off status, it effected me the same as if it were my own. I called the creditor and had myself removed. In their next reporting cycle it should be removed from your reports.

I would give them 30-45 days after calling before doing anything else.
