New account and FICO

Is it possible that FICO does not take into account the impact of a new account until at least one statement update has been made by the creditor? I am talking about a case when a new account has appeared in the report right after approval but the first statement has not yet posted.

Here's why I am asking this question:

Re: New account and FICO

Hi Avenka,

The impact of a new account comes as soon as the account shows up on your reports - FICO does not wait until the first statement updates.

It will impact your AAofA and your available credit (if it reports CL's)  immediately.

Hope that helps!  Smiley Wink
