Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Since Experian is once again available, I can confirm all 3 myFICO scores are in the "High Achievers" range.  It's been a looooong journey, but dedication & patience has paid some very nice dividends.  I couldn't have accomplished this milestone without the guidance & encouragement of the forum community!

MY SINCEREST GRATITUDE!!!

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Experian 781

Equifax 773

Transunion 760

Scores are low because I opened 4 new accounts this year and 4 inquiries.

What's funny is that my Transunion report is the "best" in terms of everything, yet it has the lowest score......

Myfico scores.....
EX... 805 (11-10-13)
EQ... 810 (12-02-13)

Great news for folks on this page from MonkeyBelly to DrJim.  The myFICO discussions are so useful particularly since many of us can say 'been there, done that' prior to getting on the right track with our scores.

Kudos to you all for reaching, or are close to reaching, your goal scores.

I haven't checked mine lately; I think I missed the 20% discount again. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Hello All-  I am new to these forums.  I will lay out my story using the EQ Score Watch.  I joined this site on 06/30/13, as it had been quite some time in which I viewed my CR's and scores.  After completing some research, I quickly knew that I wanted to join the myFICO community.  I first pulled all three reports through annunalcreditreport.com.  Knowing that I would not see my scores, I then came to myFICO.com.  I signed up for the ScoreWatch service, and found that my EQ FICO Score was at 767 (on 06/30/13).  Viewing the report, I noticed the only thing that was dragging me down was no use of revolving credit.  I only had three other TL's; my student loan (will be paid off in full 09/05/13), an auto loan co-signed with my father (paid off in 2004), and a closed JC Penney account (closed on 09/04).  Somehow, I managed to get through college and mid-adulthood without any CC's (I'm 38 years old).  I saw so many of my friends get into CC debt, and saw their struggles.  Needless to say, I learned through their mistakes and managed to live my life on a cash basis.

So After signing up for ScoreWatch and seeing that my EQ FICO score was 767, I did some research and found two lenders that pulled from EQ (wanted a HP from EQ because I was too cheap to purchase my score through TU. I also found my score from EX  score to be considerably lower (659) because of AAoA and what I believe one baddy, but not listed that way on the report).  The two lenders were Discover and USAA.  On 07/02/13, I applied for the Discover IT card, and The USAA Platinum Visa and Platinum MasterCard.  I figured that at least one would extend credit.  Much to my dismay, all THREE accepted my application on 07/04/13.  This truly was my Independence Day!  Discover gave me a credit line of $4,500, USAA Visa gave me a $5,500 line, and USAA MasterCard gave me a $6,000 line of credit.  Please note this was with only three TL's on my EQ report.  However, my AAoA was 14 years.

On 07/03/13, I received a Score Watch Alert.  My EQ FICO score dropped from 767 to 735 because of two HP's from Discover and USAA.  I was kind of bummed, because it was a 32 point drop in one day.  But, I also knew that this would be only temporary.  About seven to ten business days later, I had all three CC's in hand.  I spent the next day switching my auto-pays for cable, internet, card insurance, and some other monthly subscriptions over to my CC's.  My USAA Visa was the first to charge, and thus my billing cycle began.  My billing statement for my USAA Visa cut on 07/29/13 in the amount of $36.85.  I PIF on 07/30/13.

On 08/01/13 I received my second Score Watch alert notifying me that my USAA Visa had been added as a revolver on my EQ report, and that the card had a reported balance of $36, and had been "pad as agreed".  Now my EQ FICO score jumped from 735 to 784 (a 49 point jump).  Now, I am pleased to report that I have one score that I know of above 760.  It will be interesting to see what happens when my other two TL's hit my report.  And, what effect it will have on my EQ and EX score.  I'll keep you posted!

P.S. I want to thank all of the moderators on this site.  You do an excellent job of giving sound advice.  Furthermore, I have found a wealth of information on this site, and have told all of my friends about it.  This is truly must read information for all people.  Thanks again.
