My EX score moved from 845 to 847, so yes, approaching 850.
I agree with you that this may be profile-specific and could certainly depend on which bucket someone is in. For someone with a profile similar to mine though, I'm 100% certain that 6.5 years AAoA is a threshold. It's nothing major, 4 points in my estimation, but one that I am sure of due to crossing that point 3 times recently. First I crossed it going from 6.4 years to 6.5 years, then an old account fell off bringing me down to 6.3 years, then 2 months later (4 days ago) I reached 6.5 years again. Each time there was a score change. My profile is rock steady for the most part and any time I know something is going to change I do before/after CCT pulls to really isolate the events and potential score changes.
Good data. Really upsets my theory that AAoA deals with month benchmarks instead of years. 6.5y is much prettier than 78m
I wonder if there are other 1/2 year thresholds. It would be cool to hear from anyone that's currently sitting at a .3 or .4 and see if they're willing to keep an eye out when the .5 comes. I would also think that if some .5's are thresholds that some whole numbers would be as well. I believe the final .5 that is meaningful to be 7.5; after that, it's all gravy.
As mentioned in other threads time increments are measured in months. Other models are explicit in their use of months, not full years. The assumption that Fico uses full years only in their models continues to erode as data comes in.
Sure, inquiries count for only 12 months with Fico and 24 months with VantageScore which equates to integer years but, that doesnot mean all milestones are based on full years .... or half years. The below is from Experian Plus score - note reference to months. Also, both TU and LN CBIS models list time related milestones in months. VantageScore does as well in their graphs of impact over time.
BBS - Do you have and TU CBIS data points you can share for the TU CBIS thread in general credit topics?
TT, I'm not sure where or how to obtain CBIS data, so unfortunately I do not have any data points to share.
I think many like myself are aware that lengths of time with respect to FICO scoring are done in months, but for ease of conversation I think speaking in years is often easier. While some are quick with math, others if they read 78 months is an AAoA threshold would have to grab a calculator to determine in years when that could be expected. Almost all CMS software that I've seen expresses age of accounts factors in years, so I simply think it's what we're accustomed to seeing. I do agree that converting the years into months when discussing potential data points is a worthwhile and informative exercise, but speaking in years generally speaking seems to be "easier" for everyone to undertstand.
BBS, TU CBIS is available direct from Credit Karma. You can navigate to the scores from the CK dash board page -which is the one that pops up after you log in. Steps to get these free scores are shown in this link:
The most common display I see lists years + months for CC ages, AAoA and AoOA - unless truncated to years. A lot of the reason statements I come across show months such as those from LN below. Main point is age milestones for many models are often in months as opposed to full or 1/2 years increments. This may be true for some Fico attributes that are conditioned by age as well.
Interesting. I never knew that was a score you could obtain through CK. It says my score is 903.
BBS - I had an Auto score of 902 for over 12 months before a single HP on TU in October 2017. That HP dropped my Auto score 33 points - to 869 and my Home score to 917 from 950. The scores have stayed at the lower numbers ever since.
You should also be able to access your Home score and a chart showing both scores by month. I'd be quite interested on how your scores changed over time - especially when your last TU inquiry reached 12 months. If you can add your data in the TU CBIS thread along with profile info it would be helpful.
TT, data has been added to your thread. I'll look into the inquiry hitting 12 months thing a little later and add that as well.
