Prior posts are excellent. Just to offer you a little encouragement, I have had success in getting a closed card reinstated with its prior credit history. It was a BoA card that I stupidly closed in anticipation of my divorce proceedings a few years ago, to "clean the slate." It was closed from 1998 until 2005, whereupon in reading these forums, I realized that I had shoot myself in my own body part. I asked BoA to reinstate, and they did. Yes, they did a hard pull, but I got back about 15 years of history on that TL. Give it a try, it can be done!
