Hanging out with a lender that uses TU04 tomorrow.
Has anyone ever seen a score that has been > 30 point difference? I'm sitting at 27 points over 640 and I think that gives me a pretty good cushion.
My EQ is under 640 but Experian is my "cleanest" report.
My wife's transunion 98 score was 636 and the lender pulled TU04 on the same day was 657. My TU98 was 701, TU04 was 711. For both of us, our 04 score was higher.
good feedback, thank you, any others? I've seen many regulars' feedback through otherposts. Mainly interested in those who's TU04 score was lower than their TU98. Just to be safe.
I've seen both situations - it's really hard to speculate. One factor which might trend your TU98 lower would be if you have an AMEX charge card with a balance -- TU98 includes this balance in your revolving utilization, but TU04 does not.
I agree cant speculate, but from pulling reports all day every day, its more in your favor to have a boost in your TU04 version.
following up on this thread, my TU04 score came out to 650. My TU98 was 675 the day before. I have no amex.
I'm guessing the difference is how collections are treated/scored. Just guessing though.
Not a big deal though since it was still over 640.

My Walmart TU is 652.
