Per GS, my DW has a 849 TU Fico 9. Then it lists five factors that "adversely affected" her score. Huh ?
Goldman Sachs Bank USA received your credit score from TransUnion Consumer Solutions.
Your credit score (TransUnion FICO® Score 9) as of January 20, 2021: 849
Key factors that adversely affected your TransUnion FICO® Score 9:
Are these factors for real or is this just a canned reply? Seems like a lot of factors that all sum to One more point...
No - not at 850.
I do receive a couple reason statements on my Discover card account summary (TU fico 8) when my score drops to 845, 848 or 849. However, nothing listed when score is 850. I have received reason codes on my Citi account for EQ BCE Fico 8 up to my max score of 892.
Only the top 1 or 2 statements have any real significance once Classic score is above 800. The others are just filler. The "time since account opening is too short" relates to a new account penalty that should disappear when youngest account reaches 12 months age. However, I got the "You opened a new account relatively recently" reason up until my youngest account (opened 9/2011) reached 5 years.
Note: Fico 3B reports stop providing reason codes once Classic scores reach 800 and when Auto/Bankcard scores reach 850.
They are real factors and it's cool that you have a source for them.
I can second what TT said above, where you won't see negative factors with an 850 score. Like TT, if I drop below 850 and get a Discover CLI denial letter I am provided with negative reason statements to go along with that sub-850 score. Once I reach 850 though, no statements on the denial letter.
thanks for the explanation @Anonymous and @Thomas_Thumb
