I just checked credit.com for the first time, and was astounted by the FAKO I saw there. In general, my FAKOs haven't been terribly off from my FICOs (purchased here, last week).
I know Experian can't be bought so I can check the FAKO via credit.com. I am having a hard time believing that 660 - 685 FICOs translate into an "excellent" Experian score of 826!
I've been sending out GW letters over the past week, but it's far too soon for any potential GW deletes to be reflecting in my score.
Can anyone shed some light on this amazing discrepancy?
You cannot compare FAKOs and FICOs, they are completely different scoring models that have nothing to do with one another. They probably have entirely different ranges and they might be less sensitive to (or completely ignore) certain information in your reports.
Thanks Adalen. It's so odd to me since my other FAKOs are so close to the corresponding FICOs.
